QR Studio

Free QR code generator

QR Studio turns a link, a piece of text or Wi-Fi credentials into a QR code that any phone camera can read. The code is computed in your browser: the content never goes through a server or an external API.

The QR content, including any Wi-Fi password, is processed only in your browser and is neither stored nor sent anywhere.

Loading the tool…

You can adjust colors, margin and error-correction level, and download the result as PNG for screens or as SVG to print at any size without losing sharpness.

What it is for

Restaurant menu

Put a QR code on each table that opens your online menu. If you update the menu at the same address, you do not need to print new codes.

Wi-Fi for guests

With a Wi-Fi QR code, visitors connect by pointing their camera, without spelling out or typing long passwords.

Business cards

A contact QR code (vCard) saves your name, phone, email and website in the scanner’s address book.

Posters, flyers and packaging

Link to a form, an online shop or a video. Download it as SVG so the print shop can enlarge it without pixelation.

How to use it

  1. Choose the content type: URL, text, Wi-Fi, email, phone or contact.
  2. Fill in the fields. The preview updates instantly and tells you if something is missing.
  3. If you change the colors, check the contrast indicator: a low-contrast QR code may not scan.
  4. Download the code as PNG or SVG and test it with your phone camera before printing.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code stores the information you type directly; it does not rely on a redirect service, so it works as long as the content (for example, the linked website) exists.
Should I choose PNG or SVG?
PNG is a pixel image, handy for websites and documents. SVG is vector-based and scales without quality loss, ideal for print, posters or signage.
Why does it warn me about contrast?
Scanners need to clearly tell dark modules from the background. Light colors on a light background, or inverted colors, reduce the scan rate on many phones.

Limitations

  • The more text a QR code holds, the denser it gets and the harder it is to read when printed small.
  • The contact format uses vCard 3.0; some older readers may ignore specific fields.
